The main objective of Shoe Store Billing Management System is to Computerized the billing part of the Bata Store. This project developed using Visual basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access Driver.

EXISTING MANUAL SYSTEM

Existing system is based on manual work and all the process are done manually, so they maintain registers and files for recording all the details of the system. They maintain several registers for recording the entry of daily transactions such as billing of the shoes to the clients, etc.

They maintain the record for their clients so they keep each and every information regarding their regular clients in the master file. In the similar fashion they maintain the records of their parties so they keep each and every information regarding their parties in the party master file.

They keep the bill book or cash book to maintain the record for each sale of the shoe or transaction in the bata store. They also maintain the personal book for each clients for their personal transactions so when the after the month or year when the client comes for the payment they see the bock and make the bill.

Similarly they maintain the book for their parties so they can pay the money to them after some time.Thus maintaining party information, client information , party transaction and all the things are done manually.

PROBLEMS FACED BY CURRENT MANUAL SYSTEM

The phase of system analysis process deals with problems which are Affecting  in the current manual system . The problems are those which are Affecting the Bata store in it daily routine work.

As the growing trend in InfoTech world of computers need of accuracy,Perfect ness , speed and high memory data storage is a must. Each and every Problem must be solved with a least amount of time and energy.

The problems faced by existing system are described as below :

  • Difficult in Maintenance of Records.
  • Time Consuming.
  • Editing of data becomes a tedious job.
  • No Security of  Data.
  • Mistakes Occurring in long Calculations [Total Billing, Grand totals, yearly billing, etc…]
  • Proper Generation of Report.
  • Lack of Efficiency and Man Power.
  • Shoe Maintenance.

Difficult in Maintenance of Records :

It is very difficult to maintain data record in the system as all the records are entered in the register or the respective record books. There are chances of the record books or files in which all the data is kept may be torn or wearied out or some other damages which results in the destroyed data. Also a problem occurs if the data file or register is misplaced somewhere else and is not getting at the time of actual requirement of the data stored. It is also difficult to maintain old files and registers which have data of past years which the ownes has kept for future references.

The problem occurs when the sale of shoe is more and when the monthly report or bill is generated then the owner has to go through lots of  record and which is very tedious task.

Time Consuming :

It is very time consuming process to write each and every entry in the database register. Also it takes a lot of time if all the entries are repeated. In the system processes such as making different type of reports, billing, tedious calculations are examples of time consuming process in the system.

It is also time consuming process to know the total number of sale done by the Bata store when written manually but through computerized system it takes less time as it is speedy and accurate.

Editing of Data :

Manual written data cannot be changed or edited once written.If there is a mistake and if we try and write it makes the register very dirty and untidy, which creates a bad impression of the business . If data is entered incorrect whole document gets incorrect  whole document  gets incorrect while errors cannot be easily solved by editing wrongly entered data.

If one had done some wrong entry then to edit the one has to  go through lots of records and,  again and again editing the record makes it difficult to read.

Data Insecurity :

As the data is stored in files or registers, it is not in a secure place. As the storage media here are files and books or registers there are chances of getting these storage media lost, torn, or it may go in the hand of wrong person which can destroy the database or it can also be destroyed accidentally. Also in the system data should be shown to the person according to his position and post in the office everybody should not be allowed to use all the data.

If the data goes in the hand of wrong person then he/she may advantage of the data and the Bata store may go in loss. So security is the major aspects of the Bata store.

Report  Generation  :

After a certain time period if the user wants to checks his total billing or total profit or total expenditure or monthly sale than it becomes very tedious for the owner to check all the respectd data and according to the data creating respective report for the transactions. A computerized system having report making facility can do this job easily and also the owner can different types of charts and diagrams to make him understand the ups and downs of his Bata store.

Gas Agency Management System

Main aim of Gas Agency Management System project is to create a computerized system for billing and maintaining stock and to increase the efficiency of manual process. Customers will make phone call to the Gas Agencies and give order request then gas agencies will deliver the gas cylinders to their address based on their demand and previous delivery date. The customer’s name, address and stock details are stored in a database. A customer’s order for gas cylinder can be accepted only after completing a certain period from the previous delivery. This makes billing for customer is easier and based on the customer’s database calculation of bill to the customer is done.

The bill rate and capacity of gas cylinder can be easily maintained and charged accordingly using this system. Customer’s details are stored in booking register including booking number when he books gas cylinder.

Customer will call and give order request to gas agencies. Then Gas Agencies deliver the gas cylinders to their address based on their demand and previous delivery date. Customer’s details like name, address and stock details are stored in a database. Based on this the billing for a customer is done. A customer’s order for gas cylinder can be accepted only after completing a certain period from the previous delivery.

Availability of gas cylinders in gas agency can be checked using the stock register to determine the number of refilled, filled, empty, defective & price of refill.

News Paper Agency System is a circulation software and subscription management for newspaper and magazine distributors. It is a multiple newspaper subscription management software system that handles both newspaper and magazine circulation.  This newspaper circulation system is designed for small publishers and both small and large home delivery and retail outlet distribution operations; and will give you the kind of control you want and need when you are responsible for the management and delivery of many different kinds of newspaper and magazine publications.

Modules

News Paper Agency System Modules
• Login: User must provide their user name and password to get access the system, system validate user name and password. After successful login system will captured login date, time and allow to accessing the main screen and menu options as per user type.

• Main Menu: After successfully login system display main screen with available menu option to the user as per rights. It also display user name, last logged in date, time in bottom of the screen.

• User Master: The System Administrator can able to add, modify system users, and also set the login rights and privileges to particular system resources to particular user. Additional details like department name, contact no, email id of the users also captured.

• Change Password: User can change his/her own password.

• Customer Master: Maintain details of customer, like name, delivery address, delivery line no, delivery charges, customer contact no, flag for customer active, if customer is not available for some days in a month, just set customer this flag, no paper will deliver for this customer for the period.

• Supplier Master: Supplier master are used to maintain the supplier details like name, address, contact no of the supplier. Paper and magazine are supplied by the supplier.

• Product Master: Product Master used to enter product details like product id, product type i.e. News Paper or Magazine, product description, rate of the product, for news paper rate must be entered by day wise, most news paper having various type of rate for the each day.

• Line Master: All customers are grouped by line no, for easy to distribute the paper / magazine to the delivery boy. This module is used to maintain line details including name of the delivery boy, address, contact no.
• Receiver Master: Maintain the name of the payment receive details, while entering the amount received from customer into the system, this receiver name also select from the dropdown.

Customer Requirement:

This module used to enter customer requirement, for news paper system allow to set day wise requirement like for particular paper you can set the requirement for Sunday only. It is quite flexible module to set customer requirement. Search facility available for searching products.

• Stock Inward: This module used to enter inward stock for particular day. Stock are received from supplier and need to enter into system for tally the count. There is check available while transaction processing for the day. It will validate the count for each paper requirement and inward stock. There is two different screen available for entering the inward entry tabular and grid wise. There is also option for Import stock quantity directly from selected date. Usually quantity different paper of each Sunday will be same.

• Daily Transaction: It is the back end process to be run daily to update the daily transaction in transaction table and lock the transaction. The actual bill will calculate from this transaction. System will take the details from each active customer, their requirement and get paper rate, calculate the amount, update the transaction for billing.

• Task Reminder: This module will help the user to remind the daily task like Update the customer requirement, stock inward and transaction processing.

• Bill Generation: Bill generation module is used to create bill for the customer, system has option to generate bill for single customer, for single line and for all the customers. It also calculate the previous due amount, delivery charges which will add to transaction amount. Bill can also have option to enter customize message. After generating of bill, it can be printed over dos matrix printer. System has option to print dos-based high speed printing.
• Bill Receivable: Entry the amount received from the customer. This data will used to generate the outstanding bill report.
• Query/Search Module: System user can query for particular customer, product, line by their id and name, and can see the details accordingly.

• Monthly Sale Report: It shows the details of news paper and magazine sale for the selected month.

• Daily Sale Report: It shows the details of news paper and magazine sale day wise.

• Balance Receivable: Shows customer wise balance amount receivable.

• Stock Inward: Show the details of stock inward for selected report.

• Line wise product requirement: Shows line wise product and magazine count, this report will help to distribute the paper and magazine.

Admission Details module:
The Admission Root is used to enter details of students studying in college. It includes the course in which the student is studying, the year number and the roll number of the student.

Master Configuration module:
The Masters Root can be selected when the user want to perform administrative work. It includes information regarding the courses offered by the college, details of teacher in the college, details of devices used in the college, details of vendor from whom we purchase the devices etc.

Attendance module:
The Student Attendance module is used to store daily attendance of the students that are studying in the college. The Teacher Attendance module is used to store daily attendance of all the teachers that are teaching in the college.

Marks module:
The Marks Entry is used to enter different marks of different test taken in the college of all students.

Purchase module:
The Purchase module is used to store information of all relation of vendor and items that are purchased by the college. It also include price of items.

Report module:

There are mainly three types of reports, i.e; Student Details report, Staff Attendance report and Vendor & Item Report

Vehicle registration module: Two wheeler, Three Wheeler, Light motor Vehicle(LMV) and Heavy motor vehicle(HMV) and others. To register a vehicle through this software user has to provide all the details of vehicles including vehicle number, makers name, body type, Vehicle owner, address, chasis number, registration date, etc

Licence module: Learner licence, Driving licence, Changing address of licence. It has options to apply the license and renew the license.

Tax module: This module is used to entry the records of tax.

Renewal module: This module helps to renew vehicle registration records.

Transfer module: This is a vehicle transfer module which is used to change the ownership of the vehicle.


Project database: The name of the database is RTOData. It has 8 tables that is: COAMain, CVMain, DLMain, LLMain, MVMain, TaxMain, TWMain, VRMain.

Cash drawers are very popular in retail shops and it is one of the main component for every Point of Sale System(POS). There is some code to implement this component with our software system. Our Cash drawer software has source code which checks Machine status i.e; machine connected or not, Machine Open/Close, Machine serial number, Installation date, Machine revision, Manufacture date, etc. Using this source code you can open the cashDrawer and print the bill without any problem.

How it works:
0 — If the cash drawer CLOSED, the return value is zero.
1 — If the cash drawer OPENED, the return value is one.
2 – The error of printer doesn’t OPEN yet.
3 – Spooler operation error.
5 – Re-opened error.
Else – If the function fails, the return value is nonzero.

Different Functions of this machine:
ppstOPEN  – 
To OPEN printer driver port of the assigned printer name. This function needs to execute before to get cash drawer status.
ppNAME - The printer name of printer driver.
ppstCLOSE – To CLOSE printer driver port of the opened printer name. This function needs to execute before the end of application.
ppstGET - To get OPEN ED or CLOSED status of cash drawer that connected to opened printer name.

Operating system:
This utility supports Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP/VISTA/Windows 7/Windows 8.

Programming language:
The source code of this project is available in C Program, C ++ program,  Visual basic, VB.NET and JAVA.

This Cash drawer comes with 2 PC keys, cash drawer bottom plate, Separator of bill compartment 4 pcs, coin compartment 6 pcs, USB connector and Power adapter. User must install the driver required to control the Posiflex USB Cash Drawer is called “USBCR.DLL”.

The present Hotel Management Software System is in use in most hotels is mostly or wholly manual. This poses several problems to the users of the systems as numbers, services and complexities increase with the advent of time and technology. The solution to these problems is the installation of a totally computer based front office management system where all the necessary functions and records are maintained on computer systems.

This solution has several advantages; it reduces physical work, increases accuracy and has the ability to handle quantities of data than the almost obsolete practice of maintaining and manipulating records manually. Also this system will prove cheaper in the long run.

Present System

This existing system is either partially or wholly paper based and manual. It involves front office staff of the hotel in question painstakingly maintaining and updating records into diaries, day sheets and journals.

The limitations of such a system is common to most other systems involving reservations and the subsequent management of large quantities of data. They are:

  1. The redundancy of stored data.
  2. Inconsistencies in the stored data.
  3. Human error.
  4. Slower updating of data and slower retrieval.
  5. Clumsy and error prone.

Proposed System

The proposed system will incorporate all the functional requirements. The requirements are as follows:

  1. Requirement Specification

The s/w is designed to make reservations/bills/day sheets, as needed by most large hotels. The s/w will have the ability to respond to a wide range of queries of name, date, bill, room number etc. The databases will store and easily retrieve large quantities of data easily and elegantly.

  1. Need for computerization

The increasing complexity of services and hence the large quantities of information necessary to be maintained by modern day hotels has made the computerization of the front office system a necessity, and this system is specifically designed with the hotel reservation clerk in mind as the end user.

The following hardware and software is required for Electrical Receiving station application software.

Airline Reservation Booking System is database software, which maintains the information about reservations in airline. This is made user friendly so that the information is retrieved and updated easily. This software is developed to maintain all the information about certain airports, corresponding flights, routes etc.

This software is developed in Visual Basic because of its flexible, fast and rich facilities. This software can be used by any Domestic Airline Service. As the software is very user friendly and self explanatory, a little experience is enough to start using the software. The working with this software is made easy with good interface.

  • Lot of time can be saved by using a RDBMS which retrieves/stores accurate data.
  • Less space is required as redundancy is controlled and hence efficiency is increased.
  • Modification and updates becomes easy compared to file processing.
  • Authorized access can be granted by giving each user with a login name and password.
  • Complex relationships among related data can be provided.
  • Backup and recovery of data is provided.

  • Allow Addition/Modification/Deletion of airport, route, aircraft, tariff and fares records.
  • Provides MDI user environment.
  • Provide list of all available flights.
  • Provide facilities to easily navigate and select relevant information with user friendly interface.
  • Provides user to set window position dynamically.
  • Reservation of tickets is made easier.

Minimum:   64MB RAM, P-III 600MHz, in9x or NT, Visual Basic 6.0, Oracle 7.3

Recommended: 128MB RAM, P-III 866MHz, MSDN collection

Mobile Recharge Store

This is Mobile Recharge Store project to manage sales and inventory records of mobile shop.  This project mainly concerned with the sales and purchase of mobile currencies of mobile shop. This software is for franchisee or dealers of mobile shop. The dealer will purchase currencies from Main companies and selling to the people or other sub dealers. This project is developed using Visual Basic 6.0 and Oracle is the backend of this project. 


About Mobile Recharge Store

This is very user friendly and anyone can use our software easily. There is no complicated options or operations in this software. For any operation the dealer can choose from menu. For purchasing purpose dealer can choose purchase menu. In this project it has 4 main options i.e; Suppliers information, Purchase module, retailer module and Sales module. For seeing details of suppliers click on suppliers information on menu. To purchase go to purchase. For Sales purpose choose sales menu. To check the retailer information you can click on retailer module. User can check stock details by entering stock menu. There is a report menu you dealer can generate all kinds of the reports.


Database tables: Oracle is the backend of the project and this project has 8 tables. The tables are:

  • users : This is to store users of the software
  • supplier : This is to store supplier details.
  • stock : This is to store stock details
  • retailer: This stores retailer records.
  • sales_mast : This is the master table which contains sales details.
  • sales_child : This table stores sales details.
  • pur_mast : This is the master table which contains purchase details.
  • pur_child : This table stores purchase details.

Front End: Visual Basic 6.0

Back End: Oracle

So to make the hospital as one of the best compared to others, there should be good medical assistance provided, disciplined management and should offer the best services. The hospital management system database project will help to reduce the pen paper work in the hospitals if not completely. There will be many patients admitted in the hospitals. So to keep track about the information like patient’s personal details, treatment that is going on etc this system will be of great help. There will be doctors who treat these patients. One doctor can treat many patients. So the doctor and the patient are related in the database. This database can also contain the information regarding the doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other hospital staffs. The user will be able to get the information about the patients, doctors, nurses and other hospital staffs just in one click. But only the authorized user will be allowed to login with the unique username and password. If the information is stored through the means of pen and paper there is no guarantee that you’re personal information will be secured. But through the usage of the hospital management system database, the security will be provided to your personal details.
